Questions about licences

Is Free limited in time?

No. Free has no time limit.

What happens when a paid licence ends?

The install falls back to Free. Nothing is deleted.

Can we move to a higher licence without reinstalling?

Yes. A licence is a key on the same install, not a different product, so you do not start over.

Does Bee Flow call home?

Not by default. The licence key is checked offline on your own server. A licence refresh and the module Hub are only contacted when your admin switches them on, and usage metrics are off. An install without internet access keeps running.

Is Bee Flow open source?

It is source-available, not open source. The server and apps use the Sustainable Use License: you may run and change it for internal use, but not offer it to others as a hosted service. The Nextcloud connector is AGPL-3.0-or-later.
