The workspace

Install the detector and prompts are scanned for personal data on your own hardware before they leave. Block it, mask it, ask the user, or swap real values for placeholders and restore them in the answer. If the detector is installed but unreachable, the request is blocked rather than sent unchecked — it fails closed, not quietly open.
Getting started
Run the self-host script, install the Nextcloud app, or use the hosted version at beeflow.nl. All three are the same codebase — you can move between them later.
Upload documents, crawl a site, or connect a Nextcloud folder. Extraction, chunking and embedding run in-process on CPU if you have not configured a provider — nothing external is required to get useful answers.
Invite the team, assign assistants to groups, and set the privacy rules once at organisation level. Users get the shield whether or not they think about it.
FAQ
No. The Community tier needs no licence key and has no cap on users, assistants, messages or knowledge sources. Chat, knowledge bases, skills, integrations, automations and the learning centre are all included. Paid tiers add specific modules — meeting notes, the app builder, the compliance hub — not permission to keep using what you already had.
Bee Flow never trains on your data. What happens at the model provider is governed by that provider's terms, not by us — which is exactly why the platform supports local models through any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Point it at Ollama, vLLM or llama.cpp and nothing leaves your network at all.
Once installed, Privacy Shield inspects outbound prompts before they leave, using a detector that runs on your own hardware. You choose what happens per organisation: block, mask, ask the user first, or substitute placeholders and restore the real values in the answer you read.
The source is available under a fair-code licence, the data sits in your own PostgreSQL, and a whole website, knowledge base or automation exports to an open format in one click. Leaving is a decision, not a project.
